Living in the "Age of Videography"!

In 1996 Videography Magazine published a "book" entitled "The Age of Videography". Their subtitle is "TWENTY YEARS THAT CHANGED THE WAY WE SEE OURSELVES". We're not mathematicians, but . . . the subtitle of this publication in 1996 - 1972 (the date of our seminal videography report) = 24 years. What happened to the 4 missing years? Which 4 of the 24 years did "The Age of Videography" forget or exclude?

A quick read clears up our confusion. The editors of this "book" decided to start the videography clock when they published their first issue of Videography Magazine in 1976. Admittedly 1976 was a big year. It was the bicentennial of US . . . but it was not the defining year of videography.

Brian McKernan, was the books editor. He gave Bob Kiger an autographed copy. For those who cannot clearly read his writing, here is a transcription.

"Bob, Thanks to your inspiration there was - and is - an Age of Videography. May it continue to enhance human understanding. Best Wishes Always, Brian McKernan."
